Go to an outlet you admire and ask them for an internship/entry-level job

Siddarth,

There are definelty a number of routes that can be taken. Nicholas hit the core starting point in that you need real life experience that is coming from an employer. An internship is a great way to get a feel for your chosen field. The only downside is that they typically are 1-3 months long and many will use you as a drudge worker.

The second way to prove yourself is to decide on one area of expertise that you have a PASSION for and start a blog with well researched articles that you can pen your name to. From there I would link over to a LinkedIn profile and start asking and answering questions. This will help you establish yourself as an expert among your peers.

The third way is to submit articles to Content Libraries. Example - FrogPond.com is a great Library of archived articles pertaining to the real estate professional. There are Dozens of great ones that you can contribute to.

Here at Ardynn PR we write for and consult with the real estate industry. I will even throw this out there, that if you would like to submit some samples and are interested in doing an internship with us, contact me at mharris@ardynnmedia.com.

Good luck!
