Elizabeth’s current research deals with refugee and forced migration politics in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East/North Africa region.  Her work also includes projects on citizenship and state-building, nationalism and ethnic conflict, and the politics of language conflict in developing states.

Elizabeth is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Government and a researcher at the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University.
