Your morning fashion and beauty report: Katy Perry's cleavage causes 'Sesame Street' uproar

Katy Perry We've always said one should dress appropriately for the occasion. Unfortunately, Katy Perry didn't understand what some parents would find objectionable about wearing a low-cut outfit (not the one pictured, but you get the sense of her usual style) for an appearance on "Sesame Street."  Katy's duet with Elmo, which had been scheduled to air on the PBS series later this season, made its way to YouTube, sparking a bit of an outcry and leading "Sesame Street" to decide not to broadcast it on TV. We've also always said one should dress for success, and Kevin Farrell has given the idea a whole new spin. Farrell is America's top Tupperware salesman. And he does it in drag, performing musical numbers and jokes as his alter ego, Dee W. Leye, as he demonstrates the product. [People]

Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon are still actively promoting their Material Girl line and appeared at Macy's in New York's Herald Square on Wednesday night. Madonna says she has more fashion brands in the works. [WWD]   

Expanding on the store-within-a-store concept, Sears is giving 15% of the space in its Costa Mesa store to fast fashion brand Forever 21, with the opening due this spring. This expands on the trend of somewhat staid department stores teaming with other (trendier) retailers as JCPenney, for instance, did with Sephora. [Wall Street Journal]

Georgia May Jagger has been starring in Hudson Jean ads, and now she is going to design a 20-piece collection for the brand. She also is planning to attend art school in New York to study photography. Let's see: Can the daughter of a rock god become a successful fashion designer? Jewelry designer Michael Spirito debuts a rockin' collection for Sears

Michael Spirito, designer for the Exhibitionist fine jewelry collection -- famous for its regal, rock-inspired pieces -- has jumped on the mass-market collaboration wagon. This month, the New York-based jeweler launched a collection of sterling silver and stainless steel pieces for Sears, a retailer not known for its high-fashion baubles.
