The riding across Europe has really improved following fresh snow falling over the weekend and into the start of this week.

All of the major skiing countries in Europe are now in much better shape. It looks a lot more like mid-winter than it has done recently although the wintry weather can mean poor visibility at times.

Last week it was Italy that was the hot location as this is where the greatest snowfall had landed in Europe. This is not the case this week though. Austria, France and Switzerland have all caught up and while the riding may not be chest deep powder it is still great and the Ski Club Leaders in many resorts have been enjoying fresh tracks over the weekend.

The recent snowfall in Scotland has really improved the riding conditions. So much snow has fallen that Cairngorm was closed on Monday 21st January while the tunnel and track for the funicular were cleared of snow.

Great riding can be enjoyed in North America this week following recent snowfall and low temperatures helping to preserve the snow cover. If you are heading out to America or Canada this week it is forecast to be bitterly cold in the west so make sure you take plenty of warm clothes.
