Thunderbolt release date?

  • Written by: Blair on February 17, 2011

I don’t think even Verizon knows when this phone is going to be coming out. The confident date for many people was the 24th. But now we are starting to hear rumors of the 28th and maybe all the way into March. I’m personally getting annoyed with all the date changes! Just let us know! Netflix Coming to Android Phones

  • Written by: Blair on February 14, 2011

Netflix announced yesterday that it is official. Any Android phone running a Snapdragon processor (more notably the LG Revolution and HTC Thunderbolt) will have access to this app. This really came as no surprise, at CES 2011, the LG Revolution was on display and they were showing off its Netflix capability. But at least now you know that if your phone has a Snapdragon processor you can get the app! Subscribe to my youtube channel to check that out!

Here is a list of a few phones that have the Snapdragon processor in them! Read the rest of this entry »

Sprint Announces Dual Screen Android Device

  • Written by: Blair on February 8, 2011

When I first read about this phone I definitely had my doubts, but after officially seeing the phone I can admit, I kind of like it. As you can tell this device flips oped to two touch screens and it also is running Android Froyo.  After checking out the phone I think that the screen size of each screen is going to be somewhat annoying. I think people will much rather prefer a 4.3inch screen like the HTC Sprint EVO, compared to two tiny ones. No official price has been announced nor a release date.  Here are some specs on this possible game changing phone: Read the rest of this entry »

HTC Thunderbolt Has Ability to do Voice + Data

  • Written by: Blair on February 2, 2011

With very little time left before Verizon releases some really great phones a picture of an employee document was released to the web. In this photo you can see that it is Verizon telling its sales staff to agree that the HTC Thunderbolt can preform voice and data at the same time, but do not pitch it as a positive because it is still in the works and could be glitchy. Pretty cool news, this doesn’t really excite me too much. I never find myself in a situation where I want to get on the web while talking but apparently AT&T thinks it’s the best thing since sliced bread with all their commercials about it. How to Add ROMS to Your Android Device

  • Written by: Blair on January 27, 2011

Now that you have rooted your Android device, I bet you are wondering all the cool things you can do with it. The coolest thing by far is that you are able to completely change the interface of your device. This is also called changing the ROM, I get most of my ROMS from XDA-Developer forums. They make it easy and have a lot of very intelligent people making and distributing different  ROMS. Enough of the small talk, lets get started on the how.

Motorola Xoom and HTC Thunderbolt Prices Set

  • Written by: Blair on January 22, 2011

Rumors are confirmed that the Motorola Xoom and the HTC Thunderbolt prices are set. The Xoom will be priced at a high $800 and the Thunderbolt will be set at $249.99.  I was in high debate or not to buy the Motorola Xoom, but as a college student I don’t think I can afford $800 worth of anything. This “supposedly” game changer, cannot be that much better than the Apple Ipad. I think that the device will be better, but at twice the price, we should expect twice the quality. I simply don’t see that in this device. I hope to one day get my fingertips on this bad boy so I can see if it is worth the price.

The HTC Thunderbolt on the other hand is set a little high. Read the rest of this entry »

Thunderbolt vs Bionic vs Iphone 4!

  • Written by: Blair on January 19, 2011

Now that it is all official, it is time to compare these three beasts. I think that Verizon with this line up will have the best phones and network available in the U.S.. Here is a comparison of just the specs and other valuable information in each of these phones. In my opinion, you can’t really go wrong with either one. But when the official pricing comes out (prediction: Iphone 16gb $200, Thunderbolt $200 and Bionic $249) for the Android devices you may be trying to see which phone will give you the most bang for your buck. This list is a good preliminary guide to finding which phone will be best for you! Read the rest of this entry »

  • Written by: Blair on January 15, 2011

Huntsville, Alabama
Mobile, Alabama
Montgomery, Alabama
Little Rock, Arkansas
Colorado Springs, Colorado

Motorola Xoom Specs

  • Written by: Blair on January 10, 2011

In a previous video I said that this device would not compare to the Ipad. I may have to be eating my words after officially seeing it in action at CES. This device looks and runs amazing. For starters it is running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and comes with 32gb internal storage and expandable to 64gb. It will be coming in two versions, Wi-Fi and 3G/4G for VerizonRead the rest of this entry »
