Pepsi-Jeddah United partnership to support sports for Saudi youth

JEDDAH: Continuing its strong support for sports activities that benefit the Kingdom’s youth, Pepsi, the leading brand of carbonated drinks, represented by SIPCO in the Western Province, has signed a partnership agreement with Jeddah United Sport Company (JUSC) to sponsor events organized by JUSC.

“Saudi society is mostly young and as one of the Kingdom’s leading companies we consider it our responsibility to support sports activities that provide a safe and healthy outlet for the energy of young sports enthusiasts,” said Ahmed El Mehelmy, Sales and Marketing executive director at SIPCO. “With this in mind we are partnering with Jeddah United and will be involved in a number of exciting and special sporting events for males and females as part of our shared vision to promote personal development among the nation’s youth.”

Jeddah United, the leading sports projects company in the Kingdom, originated to raise the health level of the Saudi society by spreading a culture that emphasizes the importance of sports. Today, Jeddah United is promoting various sports including football, basketball and volleyball, among others. 

Speaking on behalf of Jeddah United, Obaid Madani, the company’s managing director, said: “We are delighted at entering into this partnership with Pepsi since it is a brand that has a long history of social responsibility and we share the same vision and mission to initiate meaningful social activities.” 

Pepsi and SIPCO believe their efforts to serve the community are reflected in the new life styles being embraced by a young generation of Saudi society open to absorbing initiatives that have a positive impact on the Kingdom’s social and cultural development.
