Might as well get used to seeing Wasikowska: The Times' Amy Kaufman reports the "Alice in Wonderland" actress' upcoming slate includes "Restless," directed by Gus Van Sant; "The Wettest County in the World" with Shia LaBeouf; "Stoker" with Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman; and "Albert Nobbs," a drama co-written by Glenn Close.

Close made it to the premiere -- as did her "Damages" co-star Rose Byrne -- and chatted up the "Jane Eyre" lead later during the after-party.

Also spotted: Debra Winger and actor-husband Arliss Howard, Zoe Kravitz, and Sebastian Stan of "Gossip Girl." Click the pics for more photos from the premiere.

Mel Gibson plea expected — for the kids' sake [Poll]

Mel Gibson is expected to plead guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence This post has been corrected. See the note below for details.

Good news for those who wondered if the Mel Gibson-Oksana Grigorieva drama would ever come to an end: The actor is expected to plead guilty or no contest this week to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge that would slap him with counseling but no jail time, L.A. Now said Wednesday.

Why now? For the sake of his kids, his attorney Blair Berk said in a statement, and to slam the brakes on the "enormous media circus" that would continue to surround the situation. Gibson has been under investigation for months on allegations of domestic violence involving a Jan. 6 altercation in which Grigorieva alleged he hit her while she was holding their child.

"Mel's priority throughout all of this has been that the best interests of his young daughter Lucia and the rest of his children be put first in any decisions made," Berk said. "It is with only that in mind that he asked me to approach the district attorney with a proposal that would bring all of this to an immediate end."

Much dirty laundry has already been aired, including the explosive tapes of a ranting Gibson that went public in July as well as revealing e-mails and text messages that later shed light on secret negotiations that failed to keep the tapes under wraps. More of the same was likely to have come out in a prolonged court battle, which Gibson apparently decided against fighting.

Sharon Stone wins three-year restraining order against stalker

Sharon Stone get restraining order against stalker Sharon Stone was granted a three-year restraining order Wednesday against Bradly Gooden, a "possibly delusional schizophrenic" who allegedly broke into the actress' home last month with the intention of living there.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the injunction request to the "Basic Instinct" actress Wednesday, Stone's attorney Evan Spiegel told the Associated Press. It orders 38-year-old Gooden to stay 100 yards from Stone, her three children and her property or workplace.

Gooden, who called himself Bobby Joe Clinton because he believes he is the son of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, allegedly traveled cross-country by bus after he believes Clinton bought him Stone's house as a "present," according to court documents. He also told police he wrote the script to the Oscar-winning film "The King's Speech" at age 2 and was an FBI agent.

He was arrested and remains under an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold.

An LAPD detective who investigated the case said Gooden had an "abnormal fixation on Sharon Stone and her property," according to the documents.

"I have been subjected to a course of conduct which has and is seriously alarming, annoying and harassing me," Stone declared in her February petition. "Mr. Gooden's ongoing, physical and harassing conduct are extremely distressing. I am in fear from Mr. Gooden for my personal safety, and that of those around me, including especially my children and family, as well as my friends and employees."

Michaele Salahi off 'Celebrity Rehab' -- Sean Young coming to the party!

Michalae-salahi-celebrity-rehab Michaele Salahi received overnight fame and a whole lot of promotion for "The Real Housewives of D.C." after she and hubby Tareq Salahi crashed a White House state dinner — an event they wound up leaving early. Echoing that experience, she will now be leaving the cast of "Celebrity Rehab" early as well.

What got the blond booted from the reality-TV adventure in which various semi-stars receive treatment for drug and alcohol issues under the eye of Dr. Drew Pinsky? Hmm. How about having no actual addiction to treat?

"Producers were advised that Michaele Salahi met the criteria to be treated in this setting," a show rep told Us Weekly. "However, professional assessments found that she did not meet such criteria."

It doesn't surprise the Ministry that Salahi would covet a slot on the show, but how she fudged an addiction believably enough to be cast is beyond us.

Tareq claims Michaele was fired because she has multiple sclerosis, "which is a violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act," he and his lawyers said in a statement to TMZ. Which aspect of MS can be addressed through treatment for an addiction to nothing is unclear to the Ministry.

We do remember, however, that Michaele ultimately blamed their early departure from that infamous state dinner on -- you guessed it -- her previously secret MS. Some free drinks afterward at a hotel bar near the White House reportedly relieved the crushing fatigue she said she'd been experiencing.

The good (read: delicious) news is that actress Sean Young will replace her, EW says, in a cast that includes Bai Ling, Amy Fisher and "Baywatch's" Jeremy Jackson, plus Michael Lohan, at whose home Tareq Salahi reportedly has been staying.

Why is Young's addition amazing? She has a flair for the dramatic, especially when it comes to melting down.

Let us not forget her 2008 episode at the Directors Guild Awards, when she strutted around her table during the presentation and heckled Julian Schnabel for taking too long to get his speech out.

"Have another cocktail," Schnabel barked from the stage (see the video below) before Young was removed by event security.

Thank you, VH1, for ending Michaele's party so Sean's could start.

Julianne Moore to play Sarah Palin -- but can she compete with Tina Fey?

Julianne Moore will play Sarah Palin in HBO film

"The Kids Are All Right" star Julianne Moore is set to play Sarah Palin in the upcoming HBO film "Game Change" -- so step aside, Tina Fey and Kathy Griffin.

The adaptation of the bestselling John Heilemann and Mark Halperin book chronicles Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential bid with the polarizing then-governor of Alaska as his running mate on the Republican ticket, leading up to their loss in the general election.

Moore will make for an interesting Palin, who, of course, took the world by storm with her winks, Naughty Monkey heels and "you betcha" attitude. But can her Sarah compete with the gal from Fey's spot-on "Saturday Night Live" spoofs? (To relive the Fey-day of Palin, watch the video below.)

It's an interesting twist, casting an Oscar-nominated actress to play a politico who until recently was making a name for herself as a reality TV star. It's almost flattering that news that she'll be played by the classy redhead (Moore) broke soon after another ginger (Griffin) took jabs at Palin's limelight-lurching family.

Never one to hold her tongue, Griffin recently took a swipe at Bristol Palin's weight -- earning her a thwack from Mama Grizzly -- and is, ironically, set to play a Sarah Palin-like conservative in an upcoming episode of "Glee." Post-thwack, Griffin held firm, saying no, she wouldn't leave Willow Palin alone either.

Whodathunkit?

Charlie Sheen approves of Rob Lowe -- what a relief *that* must be

Charlie Sheen could be replaced by Rob Lowe or John Stamos?

Charlie Sheen has given Rob Lowe his blessing to replace him on "Two and a Half Men" and apologized to John Stamos for being rude to him as a potential contender -- offering up advice to the two actors if they were to fill the shoes of Charlie Bender.

"I think they're both fabulous. And my apologies to John, I was rude to him earlier. That was unnecessary. And Rob's an old friend and a brilliant actor and a beautiful man," he told Dan Patrick on Wednesday.

Rumors had been running amok about possible replacements, and Stamos, who reappeared on Tuesday's episode of "Glee," even took to Twitter to put the kibosh on his possible casting.

"contrary to the rumors, i am not replacing charlie sheen on two and half men. however, martin sheen has asked me to be his son," the "Full House" actor tweeted

As for Lowe, he's reportedly in serious talks with Warner Bros. to join the "Men" cast, despite ties to NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and Showtime's "Californication."

"What I would advise them to do though is to make it their own," Sheen told Patrick. "Don't think about anything I've done brilliantly on the show for 177,000 episodes. But I would just tell them make it your own."

The embattled actor said he was glad he was fired from the CBS show because now he could be a "free agent" who would be able to pursue "things that are more creative than that slag pit of redundancy. And there's a part of me that kind of enjoyed taking all their money."

Sheen also denied taking drugs or alcohol on the "Men" set and told Patrick that he was training for another installment of "Major League."

Additionally, he cryptically told the sports radio host -- whom he blamed for "94%" of his media-exposed problems -- that his Wednesday morning call-in could be his last interview ever.

"This could be my final interview," Sheen said. "It's kind of symbolic. This is where it all began and where it all ends."

Then he backpedaled, saying he would talk to Patrick exclusively from here on out because he hated reporters who "gladhand me to get into my home and then they vilify me in their narrative speak."

Creepy as an unwinning troll or warlock streaming live while smoking cigarettes and yapping on the phone? Perhaps even creepier.

'Battle: Los Angeles' movie premiere: Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Ne-Yo hit the black carpet

Battle-la-michelle-rodrigueAaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and the cast of "Battle: Los Angeles" invaded the Village Theater in Westwood on Tuesday to premiere their apocalyptic sci-fi flick.

The film, which opens Friday, is the latest installment in the alien invasion genre. This time, a band of Marines led by Eckhart battles extraterrestrials in an effort to save the City of Angels -- the last of the world's major cities not in the aliens' clutches. Fun fact: Except for scenes at Camp Pendleton and Santa Monica, 90% of the movie was filmed in Louisiana.

Battle-la-pictures

But we have to say, it's refreshing to see Rodriguez, one of Hollywood's persistent tomboy actresses, all gussied up for a change. We're loving her one-shouldered gown and statement necklace.

Bridget Moynahan of "Blue Bloods," who plays the damsel in distress in "Battle: Los Angeles," also got dolled up to hit the black carpet for the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film.

Other Marine-playing, black-carpet invaders: "The Wire's" Ramon Rodriguez, "True Blood's" Jim Parrack, "The Vampire Diaries' " Gino Pesi, "X-Men: First Class' " Lucas Till and "Gran Torino's" Cory Hardrict.

R&B singer Ne-Yo, who plays a corporal and appears on the big screen for the first time since 2007's "Stomp the Yard," was accompanied by castmates Michael Pena of "Eastbound & Down," Taylor Handley of "Southland" and Adetokumboh M'Cormack of "Heroes."

Rodriguez's "Machete" co-star Cheech Marin and his wife, Natasha Rubin, also attended.

Notorious B.I.G.: On #biggieday, celebs and fans remember slain rapper Christopher Wallace [Video]

Notorious B.I.G. the day before he was killed. #biggieday Notorious B.I.G., a.k.a. Biggie Smalls, a.k.a. Christopher Wallace, was killed 14 years ago -- and though his slaying remains unsolved on Wednesday fans remembered the rapper using the #biggieday hash tag on Twitter, naming favorite songs, quoting lyrics or simply noting, "RIP Big Poppa."

P. Diddy wanted to spread the word, tweeting around midnight, "Today is #BIGGIEDAY – send me all your videos, links, photos, exclusive content ... ALL things BIGGIE so I can RT to the world!!" The @iamdiddy account has more than 3 million followers -- and the video above is one of the items the performer retweeted.

Comedian Dave Chapelle took a less serious tone regarding the influential rapper, chiming in first with "It's #biggieday and if the first thing you think of is Wendy's Biggie fries, we might as well call today Fat Wednesday." His follow-up tied past and present together: "I don't know what was worse about the 90's, losing Biggie or gaining Justin Bieber."

Notorious B.I.G. was fatally shot March 9, 1997, as the car he was riding in was driven away from a music industry party at the Peterson Automotive Museum at Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Though many theories have swirled around the case over the years, to date nobody has been charged with the crime.

This January a task force of local and federal officials was reportedly again looking into leads in the slaying, CNN reported. A law enforcement source told The Times that, while leads were being pursued, the case remained wide open.

Last April, a wrongful death case filed by the rapper's family against the city of Los Angeles was dismissed without prejudice. Biggie's family had alleged that city officials covered up police involvement in the rapper's slaying; lawyers on both sides agreed to leave the civil case alone while a possible criminal case was investigated, as long as it could be refiled at a later date without worrying about any statute of limitations.

What are your memories of the Notorious B.I.G?

Amanda Seyfried and Hailee Steinfeld: Who wore Prada better? [poll]

Hailee Steinfeld and Amanda Seyfried in Prada The shelf life of a dress for a high-profile actress can be quick, unless it's the Ministry-worthy occasion of a fashion repeat -- in which case we all ask, "Who wore it better?" In this case, it's Hailee Steinfeld versus Amanda Seyfried.

When Steinfeld earned her first major fashion moment on the SAG Awards red carpet, the world took note (including major critics like Andre Leon Talley) thanks to her bold and bright Prada number.

Nearly six weeks later, the (almost) exact same dress wound up on "Red Riding Hood" star Amanda Seyfried, and on the April cover of Elle. Our highly scientific analysis shows a different neckline for Hailee, plus a few more stripes of color for the "True Grit" youngster.

It's essentially the same dress, but do tell us, who wore it better?

Pete Wentz responds to Ashlee Simpson's divorce petition, seeks joint custody

Pete Wentz responds to Ashlee Simpson-Wentz' February divorce petition Pete Wentz filed a response Monday seeking joint custody of his son with Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who filed for divorce from the former Fall Out Boy bassist in February.

Simpson-Wentz, 26, cited irreconcilable differences after nearly three years of marriage while seeking primary custody of their 2-year-old son, Bronx. But Simpson-Wentz, who will soon drop Wentz from her last name, petitioned for visitation rights for her soon-to-be-ex-husband.

The singer-actress also wanted spousal support and, last we heard, Wentz didn't even want to break up.

So are they gearing up for a grisly custody battle? We're not sure yet.

But we do know that the 31-year-old Black Cards musician is requesting that he and Simpson-Wentz share custody of Bronx in addition to terminating the court's ability to award spousal support to Simpson-Wentz.

Messages left for Wentz's attorney Tuesday were not immediately returned.

Charlie Sheen: 'Sheen's Korner' goes live, but he sounds more like Memorex

Sheen's Korner on Ustream with Charlie Sheen

Well, so much for the Ustream promise that Charlie Sheen would interact with his audience in an hour-long (and apparently final -- that was short-lived!) installment of "Sheen's Korner" on Tuesday night.

Sheen indeed took to the interwebs with what appeared to be a completely scripted presentation -- before you click, know it's loaded with profanity -- delivered at many points in that "formal voice" actors use when they are supposed to be doing Shakespeare or something but can't quite deliver an accent.

The man's Adonis DNA was a bit more evident, as he'd combed his hair and managed some better lighting. The lighting did, however, reveal his eyes tracking back and forth at times, giving the appearance of reading cue cards or a teleprompter.

To introduce "Sheen's Korner," the actor took ownership of classic scenes from flicks like "Apocalypse Now" and "A Few Good Men," editing them together with a few seconds from "Two and a Half Men" in which the Charlie character asks, "Do you have any idea how petty you sound right now?"

Alas, although there was much hilarity to be seen in the social stream of comments from the 57,000 or so people who watched the webcast in real time, America's most publicized self-proclaimed warlock entertained not a single question from that audience.

Royal wedding: the band, the Beckhams and Kate Middleton's baby pictures

Prince William and Kate Middleton

This post has been corrected. See the note below for details.

We have lots of lovely updates from the magical world of Prince William and his betrothed, Kate Middleton — including baby pics, musical selections and a potential RSVP from David and Victoria Beckham.

Kate Middleton baby picture First, the newly launched offical wedding website has published an official biography of Middleton, who will one day be queen consort when William assumes the throne. Said bio includes an adorable baby photom right.

As for the big day, her dress is a mystery, but a new report has details on the beautiful music for Kate and her prince's procession.

On Monday night the couple hit up Westminster Abbey, the site of their April 29 wedding, to hear a selection of classical and religious music to be used in the service.

"They looked relaxed and seemed to enjoy themselves," a source told People, saying also that Prince Charles, first in line for the throne, accompanied them.

Speaking of attendance, international reports say Hollywood Brits David and Victoria Beckham sent in their RSVPs for the big day and that the soccer star got special dispensation from his L.A. Galaxy captain to attend.

Beckham will have to dash back to the U.S. the next day to participate in a soccer match against a club from Texas. No word on whether Victoria will scoot back with him or hang out in her native England a bit longer. Middleton is said to be donning Victoria's wares for one of several post-wedding appearances before her honeymoon.

For the record, 8:25 p.m. March 8: This post originally stated incorrectly that Charles and Diana were married at Westminster Abbey; in fact, they got married at St. Paul's Cathedral. Thanks to commenters @Julie, @envelopereader and @Peggy for flagging the error.

Conan O'Brien gives Kim Kardashian's song the Angry Birds treatment [Video]

The Angry Birds board game, due in May 2011 We love you, Conan O'Brien -- not only for referencing our beloved Angry Birds, but also for voicing the almost universal sentiment regarding Kim Kardashian's debut song, the dance track "JAM (Turn It Up)."

On Monday's "Conan," the comic used a life-size Angry Birds setup (the lovable app in which a slingshot and some fired-up fowl try to destroy egg-stealing green pigs) to destroy a boombox blasting the she-did-it-for-charity Kardashian dance track.

"The only way to make this horrible song stop is by using the Angry Birds to destroy it, and the sooner the better," he said.

See it to believe it, below, and share it with a friend. And for those who would try this at home, know that Mattel has an offline version of the game coming out in May.

Charlie Sheen going live tonight with 'Sheen's Korner' [Poll]

Charlie Sheen will broadcast "Sheen's Korner" live. What's potentially more terrifying than witnessing Charlie Sheen "high on Charlie Sheen"? Consider what could happen when the actor's "Sheen's Korner" streams online live and interactive Tuesday night.

Sheen plans to respond to his "Two and a Half Men" firing and take questions from the digital audience, according to Ustream, where the train wreck pulls out of the station at 7 p.m. PST on the Charlie Sheen channel.

This is one Energizer Bunny who can't seem to come to a full and complete stop -- though those who've had enough now have an option, the Tinted Sheen browser plug-in, that will block all "Winning" Sheen-related online content for those using the Firefox and Chrome Web browsers.

For those with a high tolerance for inappropriate behavior, there is the live episode of "Sheen's Korner."

In the previous "SK," taped on Monday, a gaunt, unwell-looking Charlie made little or no sense -- but pantomimed and smoked quite winningly, including one instance when he inhaled the cigarette smoke through his right nostril and blew the smoke out his mouth.

Hey, what could go wrong?

Don't answer that.

Selena Gomez debuts song 'Who Says,' misses Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber's main squeeze, debuted her song "Who Says" during "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" on Tuesday, calling it a message to the "haters" who try to bring her down.

In the self-empowering, sweet-as-candy track, the 18-year-old actress sings about being happy to be herself, saying, "I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me."

"I think this song is such a great message for my fans, and it really touched me when I heard it, and I thought it would be perfect for them," Gomez said.

Her public relationship with the highly swooned-after Bieber has continued to make her fodder for haters online. Just last week, after leaving her boyfriend's birthday bash with a fat lip, fans were quick to take to Twitter about the incident.

Justin Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez debuts her new song"I feel like my fans need this song, especially with Twitter and Facebook it's really negative for me ... within that world is such easy access to people's feelings," she told Seacrest. "You can get a thousand wonderful comments but just one will throw you off and that's how it is with me."

She'll soon be ending her four-year run on Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place" before headlining her own tour, which she called "a big G-rated rave."

"['Wizards'] has given me my core fan base. I owe a lot to Disney Channel, I really do," she said. "But I feel like it's been my high school, so I think it's time to graduate."

Even though Gomez sings about not being perfect, Seacrest still called her out on her Disney-darling image, in addition to her very public response to Bieber's "I miss you" tweet.

"It's nice to miss your friends and family," she said, straight-faced, after a short giggle attack.

Mmmhmmm. Let us know what you think — of her response and her song.
