Classic Game Room reviews TENNIS for Super Color Volley X from 1977, a Pong style game with a green background that uses paddle controllers for 2-4 player Pong style gameplay. This CGR review of Tennis played on the classic old school game console, Super Color Volley X from Roberts, has gameplay from Tennis which is like Atari’s Pong played with paddle controllers on a CRT television. Note, the sounds of beeps and bloops is played from the Super Color Volley X itself and not the television. 1970′s technology that still works today!

Fight Night Champion for PS3
Classic Game Room reviews FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION from EA Sports for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for Xbox 360. Fight Night Champion excels in the graphics department with fighters that look exactly like their real-life human being counterparts. Cool lighting, slick visuals and awesome cut scenes make this a winner for boxing fans. Those more into traditional videogame fighting games like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat and Tekken 6 may not enjoy the attempt at a more realistic approach to the boxing style, but with a variety of difficulty levels Fight Night Champion can be played by anyone from button mashers to aficionados. Play friends online, kick ass in a pick up and play mode or plow through the Rocky meets Penitentiary storyline. Fighters include Mohammed Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya and many more. Mr. Do! for ColecoVision
Classic Game Room reviews MR. DO! for ColecoVision from 1983. Originally released in the arcades in 1983 by Universal and published by Taito, Mr. Do! is very similar to Namco’s classic Dig Dug but with some fundamental differences that make it rock. In Mr. Do you play as a clown armed with a fun-ball that you throw at enemies, once thrown it leaves you vulnerable until it comes back. Collect cherries in groups of 8 to score bonus points, drop apples on bad guys and collect letters to score an extra life. Similar to Dig Dug you are digging around in dirt and avoiding bad guys in tunnels as well as collecting various food items in the center of the screen, but the scoring is very different and the super-ball requires a different offensive strategy than one would use with a bike pump. Mr. Do! was ported to various game consoles including the Atari 2600, NES, Super Nintendo SNES and Neo Geo! The ColecoVision version is excellent and suffers a bit because of the Coleco controller but not enough to ruin the game. Visuals and audio are top notch as is the stunning gameplay. This CGR review of Mr. Do! has gameplay from Mr Do showing Mr. Do game play in HD from Colecovision where gaming review footage of Mr. Do! was recorded for this Mr. Do! video review on YouTube.

Speck Crispview Screen Cleaning Kit
Classic Game Room reviews the SPECK CRISPVIEW screen cleaning kit for touch screen game consoles, PDAs, cell phones, space ships, electronics and GPS devices. Does your iPad or iPod have fingerprints and other random nastiness all over it ruining your gameplay experience and blocking your vision? Then SPECK that biatch with CrispView cleaning solution and orange shammy cloth thing.
X-Arcade Tankstick Controller
Classic Game Room reviews the X-ARCADE TANKSTICK from X-Arcade powered by Xgaming. This massive dual arcade joystick with a trak-ball can be used on PCs with USB inputs and on Sega Dreamcast, PS2 (and PS1), GameCube, PS3 and Xbox 360 with the appropriate adapters. Complex, expensive and difficult to program, the X-arcade Tankstick won’t be for those who aren’t serious about their gaming with some time, money and patience on their site. Awesome arcade-style gameplay is delivered when all is said and done though. For this review the Xarcade Tankstick was tested with PC games before and after programming, Mame emulators, PS2 and Sega Dreamcast. CGR recommends the Dreamstick from Dream Arcade for Xbox 360 because it is a 360 controller disassembled and built into an arcade stick to prevent lag. The Tankstick works well with PC, Dreamcast and PS2 (all tested for this review using adapters) but don’t expect to not do repair work on it. Build quality is questionable given the price but it’s nothing a butter knife and a few hours can’t fix, which is irritating. The Tankstick can be purchased as a massive controller as shown or bought with an X-Arcade stand up arcade machine. Versatility and style may be the X-Arcade Tankstick’s biggest assets, but those really interested in a house-sized joystick may also want to consider a custom job for the same price. In any event, it is impressive and replaces the Dreamcast controller which needs replacing for many games like Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for Sega CD
Classic Game Room reviews MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS for Sega CD from 1994, a button bushing quicktime event videogame that takes place over full motion video from Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television show. This “live action video adventure” as they call it, it remarkably fun and silly for fans of old-school Power Rangers. In this Power Rangers videogame you push buttons and directions on the Sega Genesis controller in time with events that take place on the screen. Watch the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers defeat evil (if you can keep up with the button prompts) and laugh at the awesome cheesy effects, acting and storyline. This CGR review of the Might Morphin Power Rangers video game has gameplay from Sega CD version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers videogame. Sega CD works with Sega Genesis to deliver full motion video on a tv screen to deliver some awesome Power Rangers gaming. Also known as the Mega CD, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is affordable, fun and rad to the max!

CGR Ultra Fail – Metroid for NES
CGR ULTRA FAIL reviews Metroid on NES! Winning by losing, play Metroid fast by losing in under 15 seconds while still digging that awesome Metroid gameplay style. You could play Metroid all the way through to get the surprise at the end and enjoy all of the boss battles, exploration and awesome music. Or you could just fail immediately and play another game like Super Mario Brothers. CGR Ultra Fail – Space Harrier for Sega Saturn
CGR ULTRA FAIL reviews Space Harrier, Sega arcade classic that is fun to lose, but waaaay more fun to win. Ultra Fail fails quickly but not quickly enough, struggling to run into rocks and enemy fire… screw this! We may as well play Space Harrier for the high score! That’s probably the way they intented it to be played afterall, I would assume. On the other hand if you play Space Harrier to lose you would have originally put more quarters into the machine and started a butterfly effect where Sega would have had enough spare change to make a new Cosmic Carnage on the Sega Dreamcast X2!!!

Space Harrier for Sega Master System
Classic Game Room reviews SPACE HARRIER for Sega Master System from 1986, the 8-bit version of the Yu Suzuki arcade classic. While the Sega Master System doesn’t handle the game with smooth perfection or arcade quality visuals it does a great job trying. Relatively responsive controls make playing Space Harrier fun but choppy visuals ruin that arcade quality experience. It was difficult to see exactly where enemies were or to avoid obstacles, but back in the 80′s this game was the bomb on the Master System. Fans of Space Harrier should look for better versions these days like the Sega Saturn version, Wii arcade, PS3 and 360 or 32X. This CGR review of Space Harrier on Sega Master System has gameplay from Space Harrier on Sega Master System showing Space Harrier game play.

Alien Trilogy for PS1
Classic Game Room reviews ALIEN TRILOGY for Playstation PS1 from Acclaim and Fox Interactive Studios, a first person shooter featuring Aliens from the Alien movies and firepower like the pulse rifle and flamethrower! While not the exact storyline from the original 3 Alien movies, Alien Trilogy borrows characters and elements as you battle your way through aliens, face huggers and infected humans through levels inspired by the 1979 Alien, 1986′s Aliens and that other one…. Alien 3. (Hooray, no Alien Regurgitation or whatever it was…) Play as Ripley and waste suckas with the Pulse Rifle and other weapons in Alien Trilogy for PS1. Dreamcast Collection for Xbox 360
Classic Game Room reviews the DREAMCAST COLLECTION for Xbox 360 from Sega, a collection of four classic Sega Dreamcast games that includes Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 Part 2. This bare bones collection delivers some great games at an affordable price, but serious Dreamcast fans probably already own at least one of these games. Space Channel 5 Part 2 is probably the only one that doesn’t live in your collection. Those interested in getting into Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure or Space Channel 5 should consider this Dreamcast Collection from Sega. Others may want to buy a Dreamcast and collect the real games. This CGR review of the Sega Dreamcast Collection has gameplay from the Dreamcast Collection on Xbox 360 showing Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 gameplay in HD action.

Dino Strike for Nintendo Wii
Die you stupid dinosaurs, die! Make these overgrown lizards extinct for the 2nd time in DINO STRIKE! Classic Game Room reviews DINO STRIKE for Nintendo Wii, a light gun style shooter on rails where you waste dinosaurs in 15 minutes than asteroids do all millenium. Played with the Wii Zapper, Dine Strike is a shooter-on-rails arcade style gun game with a fun, cheesy style and challenging gameplay. 1-4 players can blast dinos together, or one player can dual wield two guns for double the slaughter. Weapons include a pistol, shotgun, machine gun and explosive crossbow. It’s like Land of the Lost meets House of the Dead and Dino Strike delivers the arcade style gunning action. This CGR review of Dino Strike has Dino Strike gameplay on Nintendo Wii published by Zoo.

Mario Sports Mix for Wii Part 3: Basketball
Part 3 of 4: Classic Game Room reviews MARIO SPORTS MIX for Wii review, BASKETBALL! Mario Sports Mix by Square Enix and Nintendo contains four sports games in one collection, but don’t confuse it with a crappy collection of 3rd party Wii minigames! Mario Sports Mix is fun, well made and totally playable with 1-4 players. Mario Sports Mix on Nintendo Wii has Volleyball, Ice Hockey, Dodgeball and Basketball (but no Rollerball). This CGR review of Mario Sports Mix on Nintendo Wii has gameplay from Mario Sports Mix on Wii showing videogame game play from Mario Sports Mix during basketball gaming.

Killzone 3 for PS3 Part 2
Part 2 of 2: Classic Game Room reviews KILLZONE 3 multiplayer for PS3 with this video review of Killzone 3 on Playstation 3 with Killzone 3 gameplay and that Killzone 3 flamethrower breakdancing groove-atronic style. Jetpacks, flamethrowers and mecha battle suits, it’s friggin’ Killzone baby! The awesome, silly storyline continues where Killzone 2 left off and continues in Killzone 3. Sev, Rico and friends slaughter Helghast hobags without mercy with a variety of fun weapons like the thingy that shoots green, shotguns and the minigun. From Helghast with love? Not so much. The evil space-Nazis are out to wipe out the ISA and end the series…. but then who will make sequels? This CGR review of Killzone 3 on PS3 has gameplay from Killzone 3 in this Killzone 3 video review on PS3 Playstation 3. Killzone 3 has a campaign storyline and multiplayer gameplay with Killzone 3 trophies on PS3 (with trophy support). Dance, dance, Helghast burning inferno!!

The Ninja for Sega Master System
Classic Game Room reviews THE NINJA for Sega Master System from 1986. The Ninja was originally called Sega Ninja and is the home console version with a different graphical presentation. The 8-bit Sega Master System handles The Ninja with ease and delivers cool run and gun action that is a mixture of Commando and Shinobi with some Frogger thrown in for good measure.

Pelican Accessories PS1 & PS2 Joystick
Classic Game Room reviews the PELICAN ACCESSORIES Playstation 1 and 2 Joystick for use with PS2 and PS1 fighting games and other videogames where an “arcade style” joystick is preferred. This cheap, palstic fighting stick for the PS2 and PS1 can be used to play Playstation fighters like Tekken 2 and 3 or Virtua Fighter 4 (among many others). It has the standard Playstation buttons and L1, R1, L2 and R2. A joystick with arcade style ball top is acceptable, as long as you don’t pay much for this odd-looking controller. Rubber pads with “nubbins” seem to be the standout feature on the Pelican Accessories PS2 fighting joystick. This CGR video review of Playstation 2 and PS1 hardware reviews a Pelican Accessories fighting style arcade joystick for PS2.

Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Rumble!! for DS
Classic Game Room reviews NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: SHINOBI RUMBLE!! for Nintendo DS from Tomy and Atlus. Play as 16 characters from Naruto in this streamlined fighting game for fans of the Naruto series. Not too technical, not too much to memorize, Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble is about button mashing and jumping around the screen kicking opponents. Pull of special moves easily by touching the lower screen during gameplay and control characters effectively with the d-pad and buttons. Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble for Nintendo DS may not be a fighting game for die-hard fighting videogame fans, but for casual fighters into the Naruto series it is well done. This CGR review of Naruto Shippuden for Nintendo DS has Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble gameplay filmed from Nintendo DS with Naruto Shippuden game play in HD.
