Cooties for iPad
Classic Game Room reviews COOTIES for iPad, a tap defence game where you destroy enemies that are trying to kill your heart, liver and brain!! In Cooties you touch the screen to kill enemies before they destroy your organ, but some baddies are harder to wipe out than others. Some require being flicked off screen while others require the player to squash them for a short time. This CGR review of Cooties for iPad (and iPhone iPod Touch) has gameplay from Cooties showing Cooties touch screen game play in HD action.

CGR Undertow – Star Fox Adventures for Nintendo GameCube
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Star Fox Adventures from Rare and Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. The real tragedy of the controversial Star Fox Adventures is that this isn’t a bad game. In fact, on the contrary, it’s a very good game. Star Fox Adventures starts with a quintessentially Rare formula, offering players an enormous game world with a laundry list of items to collect. But the game noticeably borrows concepts from the Legend of Zelda, as well, resulting in a distinct kind of game that plays like Banjo-Kazooie meets the Wind Waker. This video review features video gameplay footage of Star Fox Adventures for the Nintendo GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

Our gaming passports have been stamped literally hundreds of times in the Mushroom Kingdom, and some of the place’s most popular attractions are its racetracks. CGR Undertow – Red Steel 2 for Nintendo Wii
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Red Steel 2 from Ubisoft for the Nintendo Wii from March 2010. Red Steel 2 is a sequel in name only. Having nothing to do with the first game, you play now as the last Kusagari, a mysterious prodigal son who has returned to his home of Caldera to exact revenge and bring justice upon those who have hunted down his kind. This is all you really need to know about this game’s plot as the atmosphere and game design seems to try to get across more of the themes of this story. This video game review features Red Steel 2 gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Ray.

CGR Undertow – The Conduit for Nintendo Wii
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of The Conduit from Sega for the Nintendo Wii from June 2009. You play as Michael Ford, a special agent for the United States government who has been tasked by your handler, simply known as John Adams, to track down and capture an international terrorist known as Prometheus who is working on weapons the likes of which have never been known in a plot against the United States. As you track down Prometheus to Washington DC, you’ll end up in the middle of a conspiracy that is paving the way for an alien invasion. Only with your agent survival skills and an experimental piece of technology known as the All-Seeing Eye, or ASE, will you have a chance of quelling this universal threat to mankind. This video game review features The Conduit gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Ray.

CGR Undertow – Super Mario Strikers for Nintendo GameCube
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Super Mario Strikers from Next Level Games and Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. Super Mario Strikers was the last of the Mario sports games released for the GameCube, and while those games were arguably at their best during those years, Strikers was one of their unexpected highlights. Like Mario Power Tennis and Mario Superstar Baseball before it, Super Mario Strikers offers an arcade twist on its respective sport, adding simple controls and item-driven mayhem to the game of soccer. This video review features video gameplay footage of Super Mario Strikers for the Nintendo GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGR Undertow – Harley Davidson: Road Trip for Nintendo Wii
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Harley Davidson: Road Trip from Destineer for the Nintendo Wii. On the one hand, Harley Davidson: Road Trip is a kind of racing game, albeit an utterly aimless one without any racing whatsoever. On the other hand, it’s an on-rails photography game that’s every bit as stimulating as it sounds. Clearly, this is a game with no real sense of identity, but if there’s one thing about Harley Davidson: Road Trip we can be sure of, it’s that the game leaves no throttle un-throttled in its attempt to do as many things poorly as it possibly can. This video review features video gameplay footage of Harley Davidson: Road Trip for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGR Undertow – LittleBigPlanet 2 for PS3
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Little Big Planet 2 from Media Molecule and Sony for the PS3 from January 2011. You play as the politically correct Sack Thing and must join the Alliance in order to save all of Little Big Planet and the imaginative creations of people everywhere from the evil Negativitron, a vacuum cleaner bent on wiping the slate clean on your Sack Thing and his new friends like Larry Da Vinci, the head of the Alliance. Only by going around Little Big Planet and taking out the Negativitron and his monstrous creations can you free your sack once and for all. CGR Undertow – Shadow Complex for Xbox 360
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Shadow Complex from Epic Games for the Xbox 360 from August 2009. A 2.5D side-scrolling shooter, Shadow Complex is the story of how a couple of hikers in the woods stumble upon an anarchist plot to overthrow the U.S. government, starting with San Francisco. The hero of our story, Jason, must rescue his girlfriend from clutches of this unknown organization after she is captured during a hiking trip and, in the process, defend truth, justice, and the American way by taking down the entirety of the underground complex. This video game review features Shadow Complex gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Ray.

CGR Undertow – NHL Hitz 2002 for Xbox
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of NHL Hitz 2002 from Black Box Games and Midway Games for the Xbox. The game is also available for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. NHL Hitz 2002 is a caricature of hockey, and while often barbaric, it also exaggerates the speed, power and artistry for which the game is also known. NHL Hitz 2002 is a game of three-on-three hockey in which you can shoot, you can pass and you can check. It boils hockey down to those fundamental elements, leaving things like rules and penalties back at the blue line. This video review features video gameplay footage of NHL Hitz 2002 for the Xbox and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGR Undertow – Wacko for Arcade
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of the arcade game Wacko. Released to arcades in 1983, Wacko was another in a very long line of games from Midway, easily the leading producer of arcade games in the 1980s. You play Wacko as Kapt’n Krooz’r, a little alien with a big problem. Monsters are surrounding his ship, and it’s your job to help him clean house. Much like Robotron, you can move your ship freely through the hordes and fire at will in this matchmaking shooter. This video review features video gameplay footage of the arcade game Wacko and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGR Undertow – Dead Space for Xbox 360
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Dead Space from EA for the Xbox 360 from October 2008. The game opens up in deep space in the year 2508. The USG Ishimura, a mining vessel that doubles as a temporary space colony for its 1000 or so workers and inhabitants, has sent out a distress signal and in response, the USG Kellion has been dispatched to investigate. On board the Kellion is your character, Isaac Clarke, an expert engineer, who made sure to be assigned to this mission because his lady friend Nicole is stationed on board the Ishimura. Nothing like a deep space booty call, eh? After the landing procedures fail and the Kellion crashes into the docking bay of the mining ship, everyone on board realizes there is a lot more wrong with the Ishimura than they originally thought. Isaac must now crack open the mystery as to what has happened to the crew of the Ishimura and what exactly it was they were mining for on the planet below. This video game review features Dead Space gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Ray.

CGR Undertow – Satan’s Hollow for Arcade
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Satan’s Hollow from Bally Midway. Released to arcades in 1982, Satan’s Hollow uses the same shoot ‘em up template as many of the era’s classic space shooters, only it drops the altitude down 100,000 feet or so into the fiery pits of Hell…where weather reports are useless, because it rains blood from a lacerated sky on a daily basis. This video review features video gameplay footage of the arcade game Satan’s Hollow and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGR Undertow – X-Men for Sega Genesis
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of X-Men from Western Technologies, Inc. and SEGA for the SEGA Genesis. X-Men is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up with lots of platforming, a style of game that was the nineties equivalent to the modern day first-person shooter in that roughly one out of every two games on store shelves is the exact same thing. With four helper mutants at your one-time-use disposal, you play as four X-Men, swapping between them after dying the same way you could in the classic Ninja Turtles games of the era. This video review features video gameplay footage of X-Men for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is the final chapter in the trilogy arc that was started in Tomb Raider: Legend and continued in Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Picking up right where Anniversary left off, Lara is continuing her search for the mythical resting place of King Arthur, Avalon and her adventure starts by her exploring underwater caverns in the Mediterranean Sea. CGR Undertow – Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for Sega Genesis
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the Sega Genesis. Sonic and Tails are back at it again in another adventure, and this time Robonik’s tricked an Echidna named Knuckles into helping keep Sonic away from the Master Emerald. Numerous improvements have been made once again with some new maneuvers and special items, along with some great new levels featuring even more branching pathways than previous games. And the classic side scrolling platforming is still intact, making this one of the most refined and polished Sonic games of the series. This review features Sonic the Hedgehog 3 gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Kevin.

CGR Undertow – Sonic & Knuckles for Sega Genesis
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Sonic & Knuckles for the Sega Genesis. As Sonic 3 was released without all the content and features it was originally intended to include, Sega followed up quickly with the release of Sonic & Knuckles in 1994. Utilizing a rarely seen cartridge technology, it was the first and only officially licensed lock-on cart that allowed for previous Sonic games to be plugged into it and expand their original content, most notably the chance to play as Knuckles the Echidna. As a stand-alone game it’s not much different from Sonic 3, but adds plenty of new features and platforming gameplay variety to continue Sonic’s 16-bit legacy. This review features Sonic & Knuckles gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Kevin.

In the first sequel to Sega’s flagship series on the Sega Genesis, Sonic is joined by a new friend Tails in an all new quest to stop the evil Dr. Robotnik aka Eggman. The core gameplay elements are still there but this follow up features numerous improvements to make things even faster and flashier, including the new spin dash move, 2 player versus and cooperative modes, and some amazing graphics and memorable music. CGR Undertow – Chronos Twins DX for Nintendo Wii
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Chronos Twins DX, a downloadable game from EnjoyUp for the Nintendo Wii’s WiiWare service. Chronos Twins DX has a lot in common with the classic action-platform games of the past. You move through 2D environments while shooting at enemies and jumping on platforms. The game’s hook is that your character exists in two separate times simultaneously. You’re controlling one character, but you have to be cognizant of what you’re doing in both the past and present. This video review features video gameplay footage of Chronos Twins DX for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
