Employee dies at NASA STS-134 launch site

NASA announced Monday, March 14, 2011, that a United Space Alliance employee has fallen from a shuttle launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center, and died as the result of the accident.
Officials at the U.S. space agency NASA have already suspended all work on Launch Complex 39A at the KSC facility off the eastern coast of Florida.
United Space Alliance (USA) is a major contractor company for NASA’s space shuttle and International Space Station programs. USA provides operational support for these NASA space programs.
Launch Pad 39A is being used for the next (and last) mission of the space shuttle Endeavour, STS-134.
Space Shuttle Endeavour was at the launch site when the deadly accident occurred.
According to the MyFoxOrlando.com article “NASA worker dies at launch pad after fall”, NASA emergency medical responders raced to the accident at the KSC launch site; however, they were not able to resuscitate the man who had just fallen.
