The Future of Medicine Georgetown Panel in Florida

Sign up now for MATCH (Matching Alumni to Caring Hoyas). The MATCH Program matches fourth year students with Georgetown University Medical Alumni across the country who are willing to be a career mentor to medical students beginning their first year of residency in the alumnus' city.

This program is a wonderful way to unite Georgetown Medical Alumni at all levels of their careers and particularly helpful to alumni that would like to stay involved with the Georgetown Medical School but are limited due to distance or time constraints. Read more »

Georgetown Convenes Panel on Ethical Considerations of Biotechnology

Ask various experts what the term 'personalized medicine' means, and you'll likely get various answers. The rapidly developing field may mean different things to different people, but there is one area upon which almost everyone can agree: Ethical, regulatory and policy considerations must be central to the conversation. A recent panel on bioethics convened by Georgetown—bringing to the table eminent leaders in medicine, ethics, health law and business—probed questions related to profitability, privacy, consent and equitable health care access, among other subjects.
