Open Mic UK competition winner Hatty Keane has signed with BGM, one of the fastest growing music companies in the UK. BGM specialises in the development, management, publishing and release of unique artists and Hatty is set to undertake the biggest few months of her life, as she works toward releasing her first single.

Since emerging from the Open Mic UK singing competition as Under 18 category winner, Hatty has gone from strength to strength, working with Future Music and building on the experience she gained throughout the competition.

Her new signing with BGM will see her continue to grow, working with top UK producers and development teams to launch her onto the musical landscape with a bang.

Michael King CEO of BGM said: “We will be working alongside Future Music over the coming months to help Hatty develop her unique sound and style, with a view to releasing her first track towards the autumn.

“Hatty really showed talent and ability throughout the Open Mic UK competition and her strength and attitude will serve her well. Hatty has star quality and looks and sounds like she can go far.”

Hatty impressed industry and celebrity judges throughout the Open Mic UK competition and beat over 8,000 acts to make it to the O2 finals in December. Teen sensation Hatty showed grit, determination and buckets full of talent, winning over the judging panel which included Radio 1’s Ras Kwame, R’n’B sensation Shola Ama and singer Dane Bowers.

Event Director of Open Mic UK and Future Music, Chris Grayston said: “BGM and future Music will be working hard to help Hatty continue her success, and look forward to launching her onto the UK charts this year.”
