City defender Tom Parkes has today (Thursday) agreed a loan move to League 2 side Burton Albion.

Tom, 19, will remain with the Brewers for the rest of the 2010/11 season and should be available for their trip to Oxford United on Sunday, subject to Football League clearance.

It will be a second spell at the Pirelli Stadium for the 19-year-old City Academy graduate, who made 22 appearances for Paul Peschisolido's side during the second half of the 2009/10 season - Burton's first following promotion to the Football League.

Highly rated on Filbert Way, Parkes has been a regular with the Foxes reserves this season and was among the substitutes in the first team's 3-0 win at Scunthorpe earlier this month.

Burton currently find themselves 22nd in npower League 2, but have a number of games in hand on several of their rivals in the table.
