It would be hard to justify our involvement in other countries if we were to sit by and watch the UN complete this mission without us. That was an option. The strength is in the coalition where without threats "your either with us or against us" bribes, or blackmail they have joined together to prevent the slaughter of Libyan civilians. It makes a million percent more sense than Iraq.
