What is daily life inside a Maoist forest hideout like?

Help

More than 10,000 people are believed to have died in the past five years of an ongoing conflict between Indian security forces and Maoist insurgents.

India's Prime Minister has called the Maoists the 'biggest internal security threat' facing the country.

The rebels control vast swathes of land in central and eastern parts of India but are a largely invisible force, hidden deep in the unforgiving forests.

Suvojit Bagchi was given rare access to them, spending 34 days living side by side with the Maoists in their hideouts in the depths of the Chhattisgarh jungle.
