• About the Data Download and CD Editions

  What information do I get with the Data editions? The data file contains lists of top companies with the following information: company name, address, telephone number, fax number (if included in book version), contact person, job title, revenues, number of employees, rank in list, and ranking criteria (employees, revenues, etc.).

  The Data files are available in .csv, .txt, and .xls formats which are easily imported into most contact management programs, such as ACT!, Goldmine, Excel, and Outlook. When used in these programs, the data files will allow you to easily create and address letters and to print labels for mailing! The Book of Lists CD comes with our CM Software (click to learn more) which allows you to easily organize your contacts and print mailing labels. This software is also available for download with the Data Download Edition. Why is the Data Edition more expensive than the book? The Book of Lists Data Edition is designed to make mass mailings to decision-makers a snap! There are no time-consuming data-entry chores for you to perform. Simply import the data into your software, and you're ready to address letters and print labels.

  System Requirements:

  1. What are the system requirements for installation of the Book of Lists CM? The software that comes free with the electronic editions require one of the following operating systems and hardware to work properly:

     Operating System:

     • Windows2000 (with Internet Explorer 6.0) or newer

     Hardware:

     • 16 Megs of RAM
     • 22 Megs of available hard drive space for installation of data and software
     • Designed for use in 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 screen resolution

  2. Do I have to use the Book of Lists CM software in order to use the data? No, you do not. The data files can be easily imported into most contact management programs, such as ACT! Goldmine, Excel, and Outlook. If you are using a dial-up modem to download the Book of Lists, we do not recommend downloading the Book of Lists CM software due to its large file size(11.5MB).

  3. Is support available if I am having trouble downloading or installing my data edition? The support department for the CD and Download Editions can be reached by calling 1-866-367-9607 (toll-free) 8:30AM-5PM EST Monday-Friday.

  Terms of Use

  1. Can I use my Book of Lists data files more than once? Yes. The Book of Lists CD and Download editions come with an unlimited single-user license.
