Riot returns to Japan for 3 shows - Oct 23,24,25

Riot is set to rock Club Shangri-la in Osaka, Japan on Friday October 23 and Club Citta in Kawasaki for 2 nights (the 24th and 25th!). More details to come.

Johnny's Back Again - In the Studio!

The musicians who created the critically acclaimed classics 'Thundersteel' and 'The Privilege of Power' have reunited for a new album and tour.

After initial success in the early 80’s, iconoclastic metal band RIOT rose from the ashes following a few years of silence to release Thundersteel, an album that would become as celebrated as the new line-up that spawned it: Mark Reale (guitars), Tony Moore (vocals), Don Van Stavern (bass), and Bobby Jarzombek (drums) and Mike Flyntz (guitars), who joined the lineup during RIOT's first triumphant Thundersteel Tour of Japan.

RIOT’s follow-up release, The Privilege of Power flexed RIOT’s creative and metal muscles even further, cementing renewed fan interest around the world, particularly in Europe and Japan. In the ensuing years, the 'Thundersteel' line-up became near-legendary in the metal canon. They were hailed as “the bridge between Priest and speed metal” and have been heralded as an influence by many, (including Hammerfall who cover RIOT’s “Flight Of The Warrior” off Thundersteel on their new CD, Masterpieces).

RIOT is a staple subject on metal blogs around the world and there have been whispered rumors over the years of a "Thundersteel reunion" tour and a new album. Now the tour is a reality as the "Thundersteel" line-up returned to the road in June 2009 for the first leg of a European tour, and are headed to Japan in October!

Riot's Thundersteel album is legendary among many metal listeners and reviewers. We are offering a unique chance for you to become a permanent part of Riot's new studio album with this lineup, also expected to be as crushingly epic as the albums that cemented this group into the heavy metal history books. As the album is being completed, a limited number of Associate Producer opportunities remain for those who want to be part of what is sure to be yet another page in that history. Associate Producers receive special benefits, concert access, and will be sent rare and limited-run merchandise including vinyl copies of the new album, signed by the exceptional musicians of Riot's current lineup.

As the release date for the album approaches, and as the show schedule grows, we will be offering new as well as vintage official merchandise from Riot. Supplies on many of these items are limited so get this stuff while you can. Keep checking back as we will be offering merchandise soon!
