Sex video: Hisham to proceed with defamation suit against Anwar
KLUANG: Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said Sunday that he would proceed with his defamation suit against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in connection with the revelation of a sex video that implicated the Opposition leader.
He said Anwar had missed the deadline given to him in a legal notice to povide replies to accusations he (Anwar) allegedly had made against him (Hishammuddin).
Hishammuddin, who is also Umno vice president, was speaking to reporters after attending a party function here Sunday.
He added that Anwar made the accusations to divert attention away from himself following the revelation of the sex video.
The media had reported that Anwar had alleged that Hishammuddin was involved in the revealing of the sex video that shows a man resembling Anwar having sex with a woman believed to be a prostitute. - Bernama
