Election 2011
The results for the local elections are in and Luton residents have re-elected Labour with an increased majority of 24 seats.

After a long night of counting votes, returning officer Trevor Holden announced that the 48 seats of Luton Borough Council will now be made up of 36 Labour councillors (up by 11), 8 Liberal Democrat councillors (down by 9) and 4 Conservative councillors (down by 2).
