Disasters of the Century | Queen Mary/ Curacoa Crash
The Queen Mary was one of the most famous ocean liners of its time. On October 2, 1942, she was joined by six destroyers and HMS Curacoa as an escort. The Queen Mary ploughed through the Curacoa's stern, cutting the smaller ship in half.
