Georgia holds event on 88th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev

Georgia held an event dedicated to the 88th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Georgia (CAG) told Trend.

The event began with a wreath-laying ceremony at a monument to Aliyev in Tbilisi.

They spoke about the life and activity of Aliyev and his relations with Georgia.

Books dedicated to the national leader published in Georgian and Azerbaijani were presented to the participants.

The head of Azerbaijan-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Ganira Pashayeva, Georgia's first deputy minister for diaspora Irakli Nadiradze, Adviser to the Georgian President Mubariz Karayev, MP of the Georgian Parliament Azer Suleymanov, a representative of the Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia Shovgi Mehdizade, Ph.D. in History Guram Marhulia, the Head of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis in Georgia Fazil Hasanov and others attended the event.
