Marblehead 9-year-old makes her sixth PMC ride
Kiana Hawey, 9, will ride in the PMC Marblehead Kids Ride for the sixth time this Sunday.

Marblehead designer named one to watch
Light emanates from behind a metal industrial door as a low fog rolls across the floor of the New York City art gallery. The door opens, light pours out, and an otherworldly beauty in massive platform boots and an opalescent silk dress strolls out as if she’s disembarking from a spacecraft straight from Neptune. Snapshot: Property taxes
Tax rates are set by communities annually. The tax rate is multiplied times the assessed value of a home, then divided by 1,000, to determine a homeowner's tax bill. For example: a home assessed at $400,000, in a town with a tax rate of $15, would have a bill of $6,000. The state median tax rate was $12.57. How does Marblehead compare? Boston Globe, 9/16/10
