Location and Access
The Greene River Trail is located along the Monongahela River in Greene County,
between the Greene Cove Marina (near Millsboro) and Rices Landing. The Greene Cove
Marina is located off Route 88, south of Millsboro and Fredricktown, just after the
bridge over Tenmile Creek. The Rices Landing trailhead is located off River Road.
Description
The Greene River is a new addition to the western Pennsylvania Trail system.
A short 3.8 miles, the it is smooth and pleasant and incredibly quiet.
An abundance of wildflowers and wonderful river views make for a really relaxing
time. The trail wanders by an old mine complex, and you'll see some historic
buildings as you look across Rices Landing.
