Concert canceled: Celine Dion canceled her Beijing concert because of difficulty securing an appropriate venue, not because of worries about sandstorms, her website (www.celinedion.com) said. The Beijing News reported this week that Dion's outdoor concert April 13 at Workers Stadium was canceled out of fear that sandstorms could harm her voice.

Court request: Mel Gibson, who's being sued by a writer over payment for the "The Passion of the Christ" screenplay, wants to keep financial information about the blockbuster movie out of the public eye. Benedict Fitzgerald claimed in his February lawsuit that Gibson misled him on the film's cost to get him to accept a small payment for writing the script.

Stalker jailed: A woman who was ordered to stay away from John Cusack pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a felony count of stalking. Emily Leatherman, 33, was also charged with misdemeanor counts of disobeying a restraining order and petty theft in connection with her arrest Sunday outside the actor's Malibu house. She remained in jail on $500,000 bail.
