Lady Gaga Wristband Benefits Japan Tsunami Victims
Lady Gaga is urging her little monsters to do some good.
The star is rallying fans to help victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on Friday. To do her part for the cause, Gaga has designed a special white wristband with red lettering that reads "We Pray For Japan."
"I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters," the star posted on her Twitter page.
The wristband retails for $5, with the option of adding an additional donation to Japan relief efforts. It's currently available for purchase on Gaga's official store Web site.
Mama Monster is no stranger to activism when she believes in a cause. Not only has she been vocal about HIV prevention (as part of her role as spokeswoman for MAC Viva Glam), but the star also released an anti-"Don't Ask Don't Tell" video earlier this year.
Just last week, Gaga severed ties with Target over the chain's controversial policy regarding political donations and how they affect the LGBT community.
