Senior Editor

We are seeking a senior editor who has the courage, vision and skills to create journalism that spurs change. Our editors work closely with a team of half dozen reporters on stories that appear in the nation’s leading print, broadcast and radio outlets. Candidates should have a track record of leading investigative projects and editing long-form stories. Familiarity with data analysis and web presentation is a plus, as is a proven ability to mentor younger reporters. We are looking for a newsroom leader who can help reporters do the best work of their careers. Candidates should send a resume and a selection of stories they have edited to editorjob@propublica.org. Research Director

Are you looking for a job that brings new challenges every day? Can you track down an ex-CIA agent one day and negotiate a new contract with a data-base provider the next? We are looking for a researcher who knows how to explore complex subjects and manage the needs of a 19-reporter newsroom. Reporter

We are seeking a reporter who is not afraid to zig when everyone else zags. Candidates should have at least five years of journalism experience and a track record of accountability reporting on government, business or institutions. And they should have an ability to write engaging stories about complex topics. CAR experience is helpful, as is an understanding of data analysis. But our main requirement in a reporter is the ability to break stories that demand change.
