Parade Route 2007

The Parade Company has announced that the 81st America's Thanksgiving Parade will be the same parade route as last year. modeled after the original Parade route in 1924 along Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit.

The new route highlights some of the City's artchitectural treasures, such as The Fox Theater, and some of downtown's latest developements including Merchants Row, Compuware World Headquarters and Campus Martius Park.

The Parade steps-off at Woodward Avenue and Mack Avenue on Thursday, in downtown Detroit and ends at Woodward Avenue and Congress.

The new route is 1.5 miles long.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will present the Key to the City to Santa Clause at Santa's Castle, located in Woodward right across the street from the original Hudson's Department Store.
