Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Bureau of Ocean Energy Regulation and Enforcement Director Michael R. Bromwich receive a briefing during their visit to a Noble Energy offshore facility in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) has undertaken an aggressive overhaul of the offshore oil and natural gas regulatory process, increasing safety and ensuring oil and gas development is conducted responsibly. We have implemented enhanced safety standards through new regulations and guidance, and we are working with companies to ensure compliance.
