2008: Emerged as a dominant force during his sophomore season after a promising freshman campaign ... Finished with the team lead in tackles for loss, second in sacks and tied for fourth in overall tackles ... Was named first-team All-WAC ... Preseason honors included: All-WAC First Team by Athlon Sports ... All-WAC Honorable Mention by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview ... Led the WAC in sacks during with the regular season with 10 for a loss of 63 yards ... Ranked 15th in the nation in sacks per game ... Also finished tied for second in the WAC and tied for 10th nationally in tackles for loss per game with 18.5 overall and 1.54 per game.

2007: Had a strong freshman season with five starts and playing time in all 13 games … Was tied for second on the team and sixth in the Western Athletic Conference with 11.5 tackles for loss  … Was also second on the team in sacks with 4.0 for a loss of 26 yards … Recorded 50 tackles on the year with two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery … Had a career-high eight tackles, including one for a loss, at Boise State … Recorded six tackles, including two for a loss and one sack, against Idaho.

2006: Redshirted his first season at Nevada.

HIGH SCHOOL
A graduate of Florin High School in Sacramento, Calif. … Recorded 18 sacks as a senior, which was second in the Sacramento-San Joaquin section … Played defensive end and tight end … Had 15 receptions for 259 yards as a senior … Also recovered three fumbles and blocked a punt … Also lettered in track and field.
