The Democratic dominoes are starting to fall for embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-PA), who serves among the leadership of the DCCC, told Politico Wednesday afternoon that it's time for Weiner to go. Schwartz' office confirmed the news to TPM.

As Wednesday evening went on, more Democrats joined the Weiner resignation bandwagon. Sen. Patrick Leahy (VT) and Reps. Nikki Tsongas (MA) and Joe Donnelly (IN) called on Weiner to step down from Congress, as did Reps. Mike Michaud (ME), Mike Ross (AR) and Larry Kissell (NC).

Democrats have stayed publicly silent on Weiner's future as a member of Congress since he admitted to a series of explicit online relationships with numerous women over the years. Schwartz' statement comes after Andrew Breitbart saw to it that a image of what he says is Weiner's fully exposed penis made it onto the Internet Wednesday.

"Having the respect of your constituents is fundamental for a member of Congress," Schwartz told the website. "In light of Anthony Weiner's offensive behavior online, he should resign."

Politico notes that Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) also called for Weiner's resignation today. Former DNC chair Tim Kaine, who's running for Senate in Virginia, also publicly called on Wednesday for Weiner to leave Congress.

On Tuesday, Democratic leaders made it clear they weren't happy with Weiner following his confession. In response to a question from TPM, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters he'd tell Weiner to ""call somebody else" if he asked for advice on what to do next.
