EpiCH has several centers that promote research, education and the implementation of innovative programs nation wide and internationally, to students, schools and the general public.
Center for Leadership Education in Maternal and Child Health
The mission of the Center for Leadership Education in Maternal and Child Health is health promotion and disease prevention among women, children, adolescents, families, and communities through education, research and practice.
Center for Youth Health Promotion (CYHP)
The mission of the Center for Youth Health Promotion is to improve dissemination, implementation, and maintenance of innovative youth health promotion programs to schools and communities.
Epidemiology Clinical Research Center (ECRC)
The Epidemiology Clinical Research Center (ECRC) is designed to study human subjects in a clinical research setting. The ECRC is home to an array of studies with nearly 1,000 participant visits per month. The studies housed at the ECRC are designed to evaluate risk factors for diseases such as cardiovascular and other chronic diseases and to test strategies for disease prevention. These studies are currently conducting population based research on cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, late onset hypogonadism, sleep disorders, and obesity. The ECRC is devoted to the highest quality science and to research relevant to the health of the public.
Leadership, Education and Training Program in Maternal and Child Nutrition (LET)
The Leadership, Education and Training (LET) Program in Maternal and Child Nutrition provides graduate education and training and continuing education programs for Registered Dietitians, nutritionists and other health professionals who are interested in developing a specialization in maternal and child nutrition.
Minnesota ECG Coding Center
The Minnesota ECG Coding Center is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in electrocardiographic visual reading services for epidemiological studies and clinical trials. The mission of the Center is to document the prognostic and diagnostic value of electrocardiography for epidemiological studies and clinical trials.
Minnesota Child Welfare Research Collaborative (MCWRC)
The mission of the MCWRC is to promote child wellbeing by creating an interdisciplinary body of research focused on education and health of youth (including co-occurrence/ common causes and consequences) in Minnesota by combing data and other institutional resources.
Nutrition Coordinating Center (NCC)
NCC maintains a comprehensive research-quality food and nutrient database linked to interactive interview software, the Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR). Used by academic institutions, research hospitals, the food industry, and federal agencies NCC helps obtain accurate and complete food composition and dietary intake data.
