Academic Resource Center

The Academic Resource Center is committed to providing academic support for all students and to integrating students with disabilities as fully as possible into all aspects of university life. The center fulfills this mission by providing assistance in study skills necessary for academic achievement through individual consultations or workshops; accommodations to students with disabilities under the American Disabilities Act and Section 504; and facilities and support services to help ensure access for students with disabilities. Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA)

The Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA) promotes educational excellence and racial equality at Georgetown by serving African American, Latino, Asian American and Native American students, who were historically excluded from the university. The center is dedicated to the academic success and personal development of these students and seeks to ensure that they enjoy the full benefits and opportunities accorded by the university. The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS)

The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) is home to the scholarship of teaching and learning at Georgetown. Staff members, in addition to faculty and graduate student affiliates, are engaged in advanced research on teaching practices, assessment techniques, instructional design, student learning and technologies to enhance the latest educational environments. The Counseling and Psychiatric Service Office (CAPS)

CAPS provides full-time students (graduate and undergraduate) with evaluations, consultations, individual, couples and group psychotherapy, and referral services. Part-time students, including thesis/dissertation-only students, are also eligible for evaluations, consultations and referral services, but not ongoing services. The Writing Center

The Georgetown University Writing Center, located on the second floor of Lauinger Library next to the Midnight Mug Coffee Shop, is a free resource open to all Georgetown students. Graduate and undergraduate students trained in teaching writing are available to assist you at any stage of your writing process. Whether you are just beginning to brainstorm or revising a later stage of your work, our goal is to provide a collaborative center for the discussion of writing. Rather than proofreading papers for grammar or spelling errors, consultants work to help individuals improve their own critical thinking, revision, and editing skills. Learn more
