Recall momentum is clearly on the side of the dems and it shows. They are fired up, on the right side of history, and prepared to do battle. This is true democracy in action.

I attended a rally today during which WI Assemblyman Fred Clark announced he will run against my State Senator Luther Olsen in the recall election. The date of the recall election will be announced after the state's Government Accountability Board "files the petition."

Date of Recall Election: §9.10(3)(b), Wis. Stats. If the filing officer finds that the petition is sufficient, the filing officer shall file the petition and call a recall election to be held on the Tuesday of the 6th week commencing after the date the filing officer files the petition. If that Tuesday is a legal holiday, the recall election shall be held on the first day after Tuesday which is not a legal holiday.

According to WI law, the GAB is supposed to verify and “file” the recall petition within 31 days after the petition is “offered for filing” by the various recall committees. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the GAB plans to ask for more time to review all these petitions. The GAB wants to “synchronize the elections.” They also need more staff and money.

Also keep in mind that if more than two people compete in a recall election, a recall primary will be held on the 6th week Tuesday as described in the statute above.

I never forget that all of this happens because of Scott Walker's actions. Worst governor ever!

The unions should be made to PAY for the recall elections since it will cost the state $$. maybe it should come from their pension fund

Scott Walker should be made to pay for the recall elections since his stupidity started this whole mess.

Mr. Fiscal Conservative Walker should of thought of that before he attacked the right to collective bargain. He will end up costing the state more money than he's worth.

The best indication that this is an important issue to the right and that they are concerned about the out come- the constant dispatch of trolls to interupt civil discourse.

About 21,000 votes for alberta in the last go around, which was a major election. 30,000 recall signatures in an off-year, coupled with an almost unheard of event in Wisconsin (only 4 recalls in our history). We just may have a good chance at knocking her out. Since I am in her district and hate the everything the woman stands for, I am cheering and I collected signatures.

Thank you from all Americans. Was it motivating, stimulating, satisfying, worth the effort? We need more of you to stand up and cheer the rest of us to get active and stay active. Good luck with the election, and hope Darling gets humiliated.

For those states that don't have the right to recall, the voters need to get politicians to enact that in their state constitutions. The Democrats in those states need to run with that on their political platforms. We need political reform badly all over the states.

Being active in your government, the only way to affect change. It is how Unions got foothold in the first place and how they must fight to remain. The people of Wisconsin have the major role in reigniting the fire under all of us no matter what location. It has been a pleasure to watch this process steamroll and a pleasure to watch fruitful results thus far. Good Luck and continued success setting the State back where it has always been, a leader for the people.

My thanks to the people of Wisconsin for all of their efforts in this.  I know it is cold up there and I know you are working very hard and while my state has no chance of seeing the type of tyrany you have experienced the people in many other states are and they are joining you as we in California are.

I'm rooting for them from California too. That is the first thing I noticed when I moved here to Northern California is the pro union climate.

It's going to take awhile to vet those signatures. Should be interesting to see what the final tally is for each senator the opposition is trying to recall from each side.
