Adele Cancels North American Tour Dates Due To Laryngitis

NEW YORK — British singer Adele has canceled the remaining dates on her North American tour because of her laryngitis.

In a statement Friday, Adele said she was "really frustrated" but "there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor's advice and rest some more."

The announcement comes days after the singer postponed five dates on the tour. She is now canceling the nine remaining shows.

The 23-year-old's sophomore album, "21," is the best-selling album of the year. It has sold close to two million units in America.

Her single, "Rolling In the Deep," is currently No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 charts.

The statement also said that rescheduling the tour dates was "being investigated."

This is why I prefer singers like Britney Spears. That girl can have a mouth full of Cheetos and vodka and not miss a beat.

Not a huge fan, but it is kind of refreshing to see someone who can really sing and isn't anything special in the looks dept rule the music charts. It's also nice to hear a tune with real instrument­s instead of computer generated beats.

this is why she's not on par with gaga, which is sad because she's probably a million times more talented. hopefully she will be taking a "singing 101" course and learn to maintain her voice.

She is actually a very trained singer. She attended Selhurst Brit School which is also where Amy Winehouse and Kate Nash attended school. It is a a vrey presitgiou­s performing arts school so she's actually had years of vocal training. So please do not call her an untrained singer before you know her background

She's an amazing vocalist. Best I've heard in ages, and there are no gimmicks. Hope to see her perform at some point in her career. Get well, Adele!!!
