TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive in Los Angeles on July 8th, but it’s July 9th that has everyone’s attention. The BAFTA Brits To Watch dinner will take place that Saturday night at the Belasco Theater in downtown LA, with tables costing $25,000 each. Tickets were only offered up to studios, talent agencies, networks and video game game companies, according to Reuters. Some invitees even bought two tables, with a BAFTA insider confirming that the black-tie gala is essentially “sold out.”

The reason behind selling tickets exclusively to the entertainment industry is to showcase 42 or so up-and-coming British talents (at press time, names have not been released). Two will be seated at each table so that they’ll be able to network with studio heads and agents. William and Kate will attend in order to boost British talent in Hollywood (like they need the help).
