Tignes and Les Deux Alpes are now open for the summer ski season. The snow is in fairly good condition up on the glaciers.

Mild weather in Austria means that the snow quickly softens on the open glaciers during the morning skiing sessions, but the riding is still good.

The Horstman Glacier at Whistler is now open for the summer ski season. There's still a lot of snow on the mountain which should mean an excellent few months' skiing.

All our featured Australian resorts are open for skiing. There's not a lot of snow and most of it is man-made but top to bottom skiing is offered at most resorts.

Valle Nevado and Portillo in Chile had to postpone their opening due to a lack of snow but Sunday 19th June saw up to 40cm of powder fall on Valle Nevado.

New Zealand is also awaiting colder and snowier weather as there's still no skiing available in the country - the forecast suggests skiers may have to wait a little longer for the snow to fall.
