Alpaslan (Alpa) Ozturk was handed a first team squad number ahead of Blues' FA Cup sixth round tie against Bolton Wanderers in March 2011.

A regular for Blues under 18s and reserves during the 2010/11 season, the teenager was on the substitutes' bench during the 3-2 loss to the Trotters, but failed to get onto the pitch.

Ozturk was born in Belgium of Turkish descent and represented both national sides at youth level. he subsequently elected to make himself available for Belgium only. 

Ozturk predominantly operates at right full back, but has on occasion played in midfield

A strong tackler and good going forward, Ozturk joined Blues in 2009 after leaving Belgian side Germinal Beerschot.
