Oscar Oscar Salons Now Open in Chadstone!

Wednesday, 18 November 2009

Celebrating a twenty-year anniversary as the owner and director of Oscar Oscar Salons, Oscar Cullinan opened his first salon in Brisbane, Queensland, during November 1989 and since this beginning he has continued to build an iconic profile in the Australian hairdressing industry.

This November also marks the opening of the 8th Oscar Oscar Salon, located in Australia’s fashion capital at Chadstone Shopping Center in Melbourne. This is the second Melbourne Salon for the Oscar Oscar group, including the Oscar Oscar Doncaster Salon, which opened in 2008.

Chadstone Shopping Center is also launching the addition of a new luxury mall, which will increase the total number of retailers in the center to 530 stores and solidify its position as the largest shopping center in the Southern Hemisphere. The Oscar Oscar Chadstone salon will be neighbouring the new luxury mall, rubbing shoulders with international brands such as, Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Chanel, Miu Miu, Prada, Jimmy Choo and much more.

Chadstone Shopping Center is renowned as Australia’s fashion capital, so it was imperative for the Oscar Oscar brand to have a position in this iconic location. It was also perfect timing for us with the addition of the luxury mall at Chadstone, which allows the Oscar Oscar brand to exist alongside the biggest names in fashion and reinforce our position as the strongest luxury hairdressing brand in Australia.

I’m also looking forward to moving back to Melbourne because when I first moved to Australia I worked on Chapel St for the high-profile hairdresser Paul Whitehead in the legendary Rifmik salon, which was a fantastic experience. I am also excited about working back on the salon floor, taking bookings, getting to know my new Melbourne clientele and showing Melbourne what the Oscar Oscar brand is all about! ” – Oscar Cullinan

Although inspired largely by previous Oscar Oscar salons, Mr Cullinan said Chadstone’s addition of other luxury retailers allowed him to enhance his current salon design with a higher grade of textures, fittings and fixtures.

The salon encompasses 26 cutting stations, which are highlighted with runway style lighting and ceiling-to-floor mirrors. The salon will also use decadent finishing’s, such as Terrazzo Smartstone flooring, eco-friendly Stonini Profilestone panelling, plus imported Italian curtains and an artistic feature chandelier.

The new Chadstone Oscar Oscar Salon is a full AVEDA Concept Salon, which includes the use of the AVEDA Full Spectrum Colour Range, as well as AVEDA hair-care, skin-care, and make-up products.
