Aril Brikha, An Assyrian Transmat Nominat for Swedish National Radio Gold Gala AwardLegendary electronic music Assyrian artist, Aril Brikha has been nominated for Best Dance album in the Swedish National radio Gold Gala award. Despite the fact that Aril did not win the competition, he has many fans worldwide. Some of his fans go wild whenever he plays, chanting out his name and overpowering the huge soundsystems.

Aril Brikha, born in Iran in 1976 but raised in Sweden since the age of 4, is one of the biggest names in Techno music, especially within the Detroit Techno generation. He is signed on one of the world’s most legendary labels called Transmat, working side by side with The Godfather of techno, Dereck May.

"Aril Brikha is a producer from Stockholm who initially discovered electronic music listening to the likes of Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Jean Michel Jarre before discovering the more futuristic sounds of people like Robert Hood and Underground Resistance. When not getting any respond in the native country he sent a demo to some of his favorite record labels stateside. Before he knew it Derrick May released The Art Of Vengeance EP featuring the track Groove La Chord on his Fragile record label and was playing it all around the world. This was followed by the release of the Departure In Time album also on Transmat. His livesets has been highly appreciated all the way from DEMF in Detroit to Fabric in London, playing his take on Detroit-techno with his special soul and funk to it." ~Boomkat.com
