X-Men sweep Player of the Week Honours November 6, 2007 (Halifax, NS) - StFX's James Green, John Emminger and Jonathan Hood have been named the Atlantic
University Sport Football Players of the Week for their respective performances in this past weekend's playoff victory over the Acadia Axemen.

For the second week in a row, StFX X-Men running back James Green has been named the
Atlantic University Sport Offensive Player of the Week. In Saturday's semi-final playoff
game in Antigonish, James, a third year Arts student from Halifax, NS, led the X-Men
ground attack with 20 carries for 164 yards including a 10-yard touchdown run in the 4th
quarter of a 38-17 win over the defending conference champion Acadia Axemen. With the win,
StFX advances to this week's championship game, The Loney Bowl, against the Saint Mary's
Huskies.

Defensive lineman John Emminger of the StFX X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport
Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 4th, 2007. John, a second year
Arts student from Port Richey, Florida, played solid for the X-Men Saturday afternoon in
their 38-17 semi-final playoff win over Acadia. He recorded 3.5 tackles (2 solo and 3
assisted), including two tackles for a loss of 8 yards and two sacks in the game. Emminger
finished third in tackles among defensive linemen this season with 21.5 in eight games.

StFX's Jonathan Hood is the Atlantic University Sport Special Teams Player of the Week
for the week ending November 4th, 2007. Jon, a fourth year Arts student from Mississauga,
ON, had the play of the game Saturday with a record-setting 128-yard touchdown return off
an Acadia missed field goal late in the second quarter in the X-Men?s 38-17 playoff
win. The return was perhaps the turning point in the contest, as the Axemen were looking
to narrow the score to 21-17 with a field goal entering the half, but instead walked off
the field trailing by 14 points. Hood, a defensive back, also found the endzone on a
14-yard touchdown run on offence, and finished the day with 5 punt returns for 183 yards,
one kick-off return for 36 yards and 27 rushing yards on three carries.
