Multitask, rescue-salvage ships. In 1999 - 2001 fully modernized to NATO standards. Their main task is to assist and rescue sunk submarine's crews. They are capable of conducting long-lasting SAR operations, deep underwater works, sea bottom survey and patrolling. The ships are able to assist other units in distress like fire fighting, repairing, towing and decontamination. They are fitted with full set of equipment to support divers and diving operations. They can operate in every sea area of the world.
