Does People For the American Way offer Youth or Student Memberships?

Yes. In keeping with People For the American Way's goal to identify and invest in young progressive leaders and activists, we offer a special youth and student membership rate of only $20 per year. Fill out this online form to join at the special student rate.

Is my donation to People For The American Way tax deductible?

Because we lobby state legislatures, Congress and the White House to protect freedom and democracy for all citizens, contributions or gifts to People For The American Way are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or as business expenses under IRC§162(e). Our affiliated educational organization, People for the American Way Foundation, is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization to which donations are tax-deductible. PFAW Foundation is absolutely prohibited from participating in political campaign activity and does not participate in lobbying.
