DISTURBED: Fan Club Edition Of New Album To Include Bonus Tracks - July 14, 2005
Launch Radio Networks report: The fan club edition of DISTURBED's new album, "Ten Thousand Fists", will include two bonus tracks and a three-month membership to the group's new website, DisturbedOnes.com. The Chicago-based band recorded 20 songs during the sessions for the album, of which 14 made the final track list. In addition to the two songs on the fan club version of the disc, singer David Draiman told Launch that the other unreleased tunes will all eventually surface. "Every one of these tracks is gonna end up seeing the light of day, no matter what form that ends up being," he said. "It could be soundtrack potential, B-side potential, and we actually have all the intentions and hopes of releasing an EP in between this record and the next record, with all the officially unreleased tracks, or songs that were only married to soundtracks."

"Ten Thousand Fists" arrives in stores on September 20. A single called "Stricken" will make its way to radio stations later this month.

DisturbedOnes.com will launch later this summer and include access to concert ticket pre-sales as well as other exclusive features.

DISTURBED begins a six-week North American tour on August 3 in Ventura, California. ILL NINO and 10 YEARS will be the opening acts.

This band isn't as bad as the "purists" would like you to think.
They have actually pulled their head out of their asses & are
having solos in their songs! While Metallica is taking a step backwards, these guys could take over Metallica's role in the
heavy commercial scene...
Think About it.

Metallica can have their spot in the commercial scene. It may sound kinda snotty (or whatever) but I think I prefer a band to stay right on the cusp of success to keep them hungry and trying to do better. I think it's cool that Disturbed is giving their fans something extra for ordering the cd through the fan club. I like this band alot (but Nevermore are still my favs) and will probably go ahead and order it through the club since the promise of extra tracks is something I'm always a sucker for.

download this crap for free like a normal person and not give the record company satisfaction. Also, I'm sure you'll wind up saving $25.00 plus tax and homeland security tariff.

You want to support a band, go to a show, buy a shirt, tell a friend. But don't buy a record at the local Cocofyewallnuts and waste your hard earned money.

Nevermore IS a better band.
And you could download the record for nothing.
But if you want to support your favorite bands, buy it
instead...

Why order it through the fanclub if they're just gonna release ALL the bonus tracks on an EP later on?

I get mine from Media Play, my local indie shop Eides, and Interpunk.com.

Mostly grassroots, lol.

two things that amaze me about this thread so far:

1) there haven't been any completely ridiculous "i hate disturbed" posts
2) that people still hold "down with the sickness" against them.

i do agree with asking why you would buy the fanclub version of the cd if the extra tracks are eventually going to be released on an EP anyway... although maybe their new website that you get a membership to will have something worthwhile on it and that's supposed to be the real draw instead of just the bonus tracks.

I'm probably one of the few people that still isn't into downloading. If it's a song here and there from someone I only like a couple songs from it's ok, but I wouldn't download an entire album because the sound quality isn't still all that great. Plus I would rather support the bands I like and actually make sure they're getting the money so they can continue to put out music. As far as why I would buy the fanclub version, do I want those extra tracks now or later? Well, I want them now. Most fan sites (or label sites) will give you the cd for pretty much the same price as a Best Buy or Circuit City also.

I was @ Rolling Rock when Dave whooped that dude's ass. It would've been worse if he wasn't holding his dog's leash. I don't know about you guys, but I really wouldn't want to mess with him. I mean, the Finch guitarist hit him in the back w/ a guitar twice and Draiman just looked @ him as if someone just patted him on the back. Haha, I've never seen anything like that. Hilarious.

Then we booed, threw a shit-ton of mud, and flipped Finch off during their entire set. I think I threw my shoe. Goooooood times. \m/
