The challenges for the project included:

Space issues typical of mountainous terrain

No vacant land available for the addition

Eight feet grade level change over the length of the existing student center

ADA needed to an integral part of the design.

Changes had to respect the built and functional conditions already in place.

The student center had to remain accessible during the construction process.
