Michael Weinstein, a former trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C., is chair of the firm’s White Collar practice group.  He has successfully litigated numerous federal and state jury trials on a broad range of civil, criminal and quasi-criminal matters.  His practice focuses on complex and sophisticated business litigation, internal corporate investigations and defense of government criminal allegations. 

He represents a broad range of Fortune 500 companies and individual executives in business disputes including allegations of fraud and bad faith, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate malfeasance, violation of restrictive covenants, trademark and copyright infringement and insurance coverage disputes.  He also represents closely held companies, executives and individuals who must defend against criminal and quasi-criminal allegations. 

He has extensive experience in all levels of trials and has litigated in various federal, state, regulatory, administrative and International forums.  He has served as lead trial counsel responsible for conceiving and implementing litigation strategies on behalf of the very largest of corporate and individual clients. 

Noteworthy

Mr. Weinstein was the only U.S. Department of Justice attorney ever to be awarded the prestigious Pegasus Trust Fellowship in London, England.
