Description:Engraving by j. woods from a drawing by g. f. sargent 15.5 x 9.5 cms. A view of the north elevations of the 2 bridges over the River Test at Redbridge. The 5 -arch bridge is Medieval The single-span bridge, dated 1793, was built by the county. The tall building on the left is the Anchor Inn. The reed-cutter's boat suggests the fine thatching property of the local reeds (or spears). Also seen is part of a stagecoach, cavalrymen and ships' masts in the quays beyond. On the right may be The Oaks. Compare with the original drawing at GFS 2. (where The Oaks is shown as lower.
