Thin Line Film Fest winners announced

Texas Filmmakers recently announced the winners in their Thin Line Film Fest, held in Denton over Labor Day weekend. Seven awards and three honorable mentions were presented during an award ceremony Sept. 2.
Recipients of the Best Documentary Award received a $2,500 voucher for equipment rental at any Panavision location worldwide. Broken Lines Documentary Award winners received a complete editing system — with their choice of editing software — courtesy of Texas Filmmakers. Jury Award winners received the DV Toolkit software suite, courtesy of Digidesign; and the Student Award winner received an MBox Pro also courtesy of Digidesign.
Feature film category winners:
* Best Documentary — Celebration of Flight, directed by Lara Juliette Sanders.
* Broken Lines Documentary winner — Meantime, directed by Deborah Magocsi.
* Jury Award winner — I Love Hip Hop in Morocco, directed by Jennifer Needleman.
Short film category winners:
* Best Documentary — Ghost Town: 24 Hours in Terlingua, directed by Chris Elley.
* Broken Lines Documentary winner — Manoj: Telemarketer Elite, directed by Steve Anthopoulus.
* Jury Award winner — The Burning of Fry St., directed by Christopher Largen.
* Student Award winner — I Named Her Angel, directed by Nefin Dinc.
Honorable mention award winners:
A Balancing Act, directed by Marc Israel; Blood, Sweat, and Gears, directed by Jason Edwards; and Bummin’ It: The Life and Times of Oyster Bummins, directed by Justin Cioppa and Andy Bader.
