Remote Device Manager
Ericsson Remote Device Manager will put new digital home services into operation, easily and with a minimum of user involvement.
Product Description
Ericsson Remote Device Manager provides "plug-and-play" capabilities for fixed broadband services through automatic settings, service provisioning and supervision.
Ericsson Remote Device Manager supports TR-069 enabled devices used in a growing number of different applications such as:
- Residential gateways and set-top boxes for IPTV solutions used by cable, satellite and terrestrial operators
- IMS such as MMTel
- Fibre, GPON, DSL and Femtocell management
- Home automation (the "Connected Home")
For the service provider, this means reduced costs for installation, service provisioning, maintenance, trouble shooting and customer care because the product largely eliminates the need for human involvement in these processes and because much of this can be done remotely.
The Remote Device Manager will also enable reuse of the device data it collects. In this way, the operator, for example, can use this to improve processes for supply, market planning and customer relationships.
With fewer, shorter and more efficient customer care calls, the overall service experience becomes more positive, leading to happier customers and increased profits for the service.
Device Management is a strategic area for Ericsson in supporting multimedia services growth. This is based on validated product offerings, market experiences and standardization activities in various organizations. For example, Ericsson's Mobile Device Management solution has been provided to more than 110 operators worldwide.
