Within hours of the devastating January 2010 earthquake, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) sent a team to Haiti to assess the critical needs of survivors, provide clean water, sanitation and health care, and address the special needs of women and girls. We continue to work with local partners to provide direct support to nearly 100,000 people in 30 camps, while empowering Haitians to take part in the rebuilding of their country.
