No More Bath & Body Works at CMH
Port Columbus has lost a longtime hometown vendor: Bath & Body Works has closed its store at the pre-security entrance to Concourse B after 13 years. The store was clearly hurt by the liquids ban, though it made a go of it for the past several years by offering free shipping and more travel sizes at the location.
The empty space joins the former Cheryl's Cookies space catty-corner to it in sitting empty for now. While the airport continues to mull its options for the small Cheryl's space, it hopes its concession operator will have the BBW space filled before the holidays.
On the plus side, Tim Horton's -- which has its North American headquarters in Dublin -- recently opened its first U.S. airport location at Port Columbus.

MASON, Ohio -- Kings Island says it will keep the troubled Son of Beast roller coaster shut down for the rest of the summer season.
Don Helbig, a spokesman for the theme park in Mason, said today that officials will decide the ride's future over the winter.
The park closed the ride June 16 after a 39-year-old woman who rode the coaster reported she had been hospitalized with a burst blood vessel. Inspectors for the Ohio Department of Agriculture found no irregularities with the ride in a report July 29.
The ride has been idled six times in nine seasons. It was idle nearly a year for rebuilding and removal of a loop after 27 people were hurt in 2006.
